UVV – Accident prevention regulations
for vehicle owners
Commercial vehicles are subject to the regulations of the employers’ liability insurance associations. According to the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association Regulation for Vehicles (BGV D 29), commercially used vehicles must be inspected at least once a year by an expert. Attachments such as loading cranes and tail lifts must also be checked for their safe working condition in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Liquid gas systems in commercially used vehicles are also included and are checked regularly.
For companies
Tools and machines in your company must be in perfect condition. They must not pose any danger to employees. The employers’ liability insurance association has issued very strict guidelines in this regard. For example, roller shutters and lifting platforms must be regularly assessed to ensure that they are in a safe working condition.
