First registration (also in another EU country) must have taken place after November 4, 2019

First approved for a maximum of 12 months

Maximum mileage 15,000 km

Domestically registered to the applicant for at least 6 months

Application for funding no later than 12 months after secondary registration

Funding excluded if the purchase price of the used vehicle exceeds the maximum gross total vehicle price eligible for funding. Gross total vehicle price corresponds to: 80 percent of the list price of the new vehicle (gross/including optional equipment) less gross manufacturer's share

Innovation premium (doubling of the federal share) if the first registration takes place after November 4, 2019 and the second registration takes place after June 3, 2020 and was applied for by December 31, 2021

If a used vehicle has already been subsidized by the BAFA environmental bonus, a subsidy is excluded
