DVGW 607 (gas tests on caravans/motorhomes)
z. e.g. for hobs in privately used mobile homes or caravans
Vehicles without gas tests according to DVGW 607? This can have dangerous consequences: Faults or defects in the LPG system in your caravan or motorhome can cost lives and cause considerable damage. Only have your LPG system installed, converted or repaired by specialists. Read the operating instructions for the appliances carefully.
The LPG system must be checked by a specialist before it is put into operation for the first time, after every repair and after every replacement of an appliance. At the initial inspection, you will receive an inspection logbook, which you should keep in your vehicle.
A further regular inspection must be carried out every two years. Each inspection carried out is certified in the inspection logbook.
Our tip
Has your inspection book been lost? Your TÜFA-TEAM test engineer will issue you with a new one.
If the system is in order, an inspection sticker is attached to the outside of the vehicle. Many campsites may only be visited with a valid gas system inspection. These tests are based on the “Technical Rules for LPG” (TRF) and EC Directives 2001/56EG and 2004/78EG as well as DVGW Code of Practice G 607.
When you present your vehicle for the main inspection (HU), please bring the test logbook for the LPG system with you.
Our tip
Stick the instructions near the appliances. Missing instructions can be requested from the appliance manufacturer.
